Trolltunga

Norway


Trolltunga is one of the most spectacular scenic cliffs in Norway. Situated about 1100 meters above sea level, it soars 700 meters over lake Ringedalsvatnet, in the city of Odda. The view from the top of the cliff is breathtaking. The hike, which is 23 km long, starts in Skjeggedal and goes through the high mountains. It can take between 10 to 12 hours to reach the top, and the ascent is about 900 meters. The hike is usually possible to do from mid June, depending on when the snow melts in the mountains, until mid September.




Rakotzbrücke

Rakotzbrücke is that kind of place that from the first time you see it on social media, you know you have to plan a trip there. Immersed in the green Kromlauer park in Saxony, the Rakotz Bridge has been specifically constructed to create a perfect circle when reflected into the water. Like many other bridges in Europe, Rakotzbrücke is also known as the Devil's Bridge. The ends of the Rakotzbrücke are formed from thin rock spiers with octagonal basalt columns that support such a perfect arc that seems to be made by the devil himself. If you have never had the chance to see the lavender fields and the rolling hills dominated by houses, villages and monasteries, the best time to admire them in the right light is quickly approaching. In the Luberon, around the Mont-Ventoux, in the region of Sault and that of Valréas amazing scenery and atmosphere make the lavender fields one of summer must-sees in Provence.
